Hamber & Whiskin Engineering was formed by Henry Hamber and Len Whiskin in 1963.  They had a dream to be the best safe manufacturers in the world.  51 years later they have grown significantly to form a business with many patents and life changing inventions that have been all over the news due to their ability to prevent thieves from getting at your valuables even with the heaviest of machinery. Up until 1979 the business had remained Hamber & Whiskin Engineering but due to a change in circumstances, Len Whiskin sold his share to Henry Hamber who then had full ownership of the business which became known as Hamber Safes.

 

In the early years, the business was making missile parts for the Ministry of Defence, and precision stainless steel components for the petrochemical industry - the latter continues today.  Today Hamber Safes continue to manufacture high quality safes for people throughout Great Britain both for business and residential use.
